Though many of the Major Banks have pulled out from lending to SMSF’s, there are many lenders – all with competitive rates – that are still lending in this space.

There were concerns that a labour government victory in May would see the end to this type of lending (LBRA “limited recourse borrowing arrangements”), however that not been the case. It’s full speed ahead with no immediate changes on the horizon.

There are many SMSF trustees who refer property over shares and many experts have stated that it has little effect on housing prices.
